I was out last night and got chatting to a girl. We used to txt a few years ago and got on well but lost touch. While we were chatting I was saying I hadn't seen much of her around etc. So she said we should meet up sometime and go out. Then she said text me tomorrow so I asked for her number as I'd lost her old one.

It was just at the end of the night and then her friend came over and said their taxi was there. As she was leaving she grabbed me by the arm and said remember to text me tomorrow.

So should I actually text her today or wait for a few days rather than seem over anxious?

Why play games? Everyone knows people are playing games when they don't text people for days... Text her today.

for heavens, just text her. I hate those stupid childish games. If you like her, send the text. The very best of luck.

She asked you to text her today so text her today, why complicate things?

You actually wrote the answer to your question yourself OP. Text her, something simple even like, "Hey, It was great to catch up last night!"

So I txt the girl anyway, nothing mad just the usual stuff and she replied nearly straight away finishing with a question. Good news. However I replied and also finished with a run of the mill question but havn't heard anything since. That was saturday.

Should I leave it be or text again?

Why are you playing it safe asking her "run of the mill" stuff? Ask her out and be done with it. I'll even give you a sample text you can work off "hey, great to see you last sat, are you around for a drink on Friday?"

Why not be daring and call her and ask her out for a date? Why complicate this?

here's a mad idea, why dont you use your telephone for the reason it was invented.

Pick it up, dial her number and speak to her - ask her out

I'd personally leave it. If she was interested she would have replied to your last text. You don't want to make things awkward now!
