    Hi all,

I've ended up in a stupid situation, passed my exams last November and finished my contract in March 2011. But totally forgot about my CA Diary, just wondering does anyone know when I have to have this submitted by.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I passed the Fae's in 2009, finished contract in Nov 2010. The rule was you had a year from the end of your contract to submit your application for the Institute so that would be March 2012 in your case. Don't think that has changed but I'm open to correction.

If you're not working at the minute I'd definitely advise sitting down for a while for a few days in a row and get it out of the way, otherwise I found it tends to get put on the back burner....

Also the next date for acceptance into Institute is in September from what I can remember so you could try make that one.

Download the sample answers off the website and base your answers on them and if you were in audit make sure you have the required auditing weeks for the auditing cert it's 48 weeks. No point in sitting the auditing exam again to get the cert for future use (IF YOU DONE THE AUDITING ELECTIVE)

You cannot go wrong with this approach and once the cheque is with it that's what they care about once it is in their answer format and makes sense.

Just to note they will back date your fees even if you don't submit it until January 2012 so whatever the buy in fee was in 2011 I think it was 850ish when I paid it in July 2010 as I finished in May 2010. The buy in fee for 2011 will still have to be paid but this doubles up as membership fee for 2011 and it won't count towards your 2012 fees.

This could have changed so best to ring the Institute for this info.
