Hi AH'ers!

Would you prefer to be someone recognisable, famous, a personality (even on boards or anywhere else), etc or would you prefer to be anonymous, casual fella/girl? I am happy of being no one, a guy not many people give sh1te about.

What would you prefer and why?

Simple answer, unless it's by people I know and love, I don't particularly want to be remembered!

Seriously tho i cant stand the celebrity culture we live in these days.The only person that should be famous is a person that helps others to a great extent:D

I'm not interesting enough to be famous (however, people on big brother who are mostly uninteresting become famous for a short while).

However, if the choice was actually there; if you were offered to be famous as x person, do you automatically get their income and any benefits that (a) famous person normally has? Having your personal life disrupted and all that, with no benefit other than just being well known, would be fairly daft IMO, unless it was for an extremely short time.

LiamN - would you like to be a recognisable person? Forget about the income - thats not a money thread. Fame, teenagers wanting to have a pint with you, TV wants you for interviews, AH'ers looking to be quoted by you etc.

I wouldnt mind being famous for doing something worthwhile eg finding a cure for such and such or inventing this or that otherwise hell no.

I'd like to have the financial comfort and influence in my work of a famous person...but be able to walk down the shops without getting bothered and live a generally private life. Too much to ask for?

Probably not w/o benefits of it, I wouldn't feel it'd be worth the effort, problems, intrusion, etc.

im invisible would like to be known on Boards, with a reputation somewhat like Pighead's, but if im invisible starts talking about himself in the third person, things can get very confusing, very fast....

If I had that chance, I'd like to be known for doing something, in my eyes, worthwhile. Definitely not some flash-in-the-pan wannabe celebrity who jumps on the next available reality series or fad.

I'm not known for much at all now, it doesnt bother me one bit.
