I'm going to be using an interactive white board for the first time this year. Its a great resource and I want to use it to its full potential. Does any know of any good links on how to use it or any inservices?

What type of board have you? What software? There are lots of free resources for ActivInspire software on its website.

Well if you do have Promethean software there will be compasses/rulers and the like preloaded which would be good for demonstration. You can search/filter resources here for Promethean software (if that's what you have): http://www.prometheanplanet.com/en/resources/ .

Good luck with the job. Secondary Maths teachers (there are few around here AFAIK) might be of more use to you with more resources.

Afraid I haven't been lucky enough to have a smart board yet so I'm no use to you!

+1 for the Promethean software, There's a nice collection of maths tools in there and lots of resources. You can download a free personal edition of Promethean ActivInspire from Promethean Planet website.
Also worth checking out is http://www.cbiproject.net/ which has a lot of information and resources from all the major manufacturers.

I'd highly recommend http://www.tes.co.uk/teaching-resources/ for resources for the IWB. Most secondary classrooms in the UK have IWBs, so there is much more incentive to create good resources for it!
You can narrow the search by age group and topic and specify you want IWB resources.

The kids *love* getting up to the board to play quizzes and games at the start (to motivate) or the end (to reward) of lessons. Nothing like sneaking a bit of learning into them!

ActivInspire is good, have only seen it used in a primary level environment, though. There are some vids on Youtube that might be worth looking at. Promethean Planet's forums are also worth a look - link.
