the course has changed from a 3 year level 8 to a 4 year level 8, and there has only been 1 group in for first year of the new course so far.
havn't heard much about the new course yet, but our lecturer's say it has changed quite a bit due to feedback from previous years.

As a returning student to the course (I did first year last year, but had to defer near xmas for financial reasons) I can honestly say, It`s not as ridiculously hard as allot of people make out. The maths is tough, But I havent studied maths since my leaving cert 5-6 years ago, So I found I was playing catch up allot more then the rest, who were straight out of the leaving.. I have plenty of friends in 2nd and 3rd year of the course, who are in the same situation as me (mature students e.t.c) and are breezing through not a bother.
