Intel Extreme Tuning Utility Temps through the roof?

I opened Intel extreme tuning utility to check on how everything was going, and according to it, my CPU is running at 429496400 degrees Celsius. This may be a cause for concern as that is hotter than the sun........
Well clearly there was a temperature detection fault somewhere, so I opened the Touch Bios utility and it said the CPU is running at a normal 33 degrees Celsius.
So I'm just wondering what would make the Intel utility display such an odd temp.
    Thanks.

    hi platinum95

from i have i been reading on the patch note for intel extreme utility, there is or still a problem with pulling the correct data from the cpu, its a software program not hardware :)

anyways personally i use core temp . to measure temps on a cpu . its more accurate and is updated more often .
