Just wondering if anyone else on this is going into 1st year of arts with Irish studies, or if anyone has any experience with this course??

Bit late as you've more than likely already started...
I did it in first year, it wasn't for me... dropped it for the regular BA...
Anglo Irish literature is sound.. Irish lit is sound... STAY ON TOP of Irish Music and Dance or Meabh will eat you... not really, she's a lovely woman but seriously do your work... Also, attendance is key!! They will look much much more favourably on you if you run in to any difficulty submitting assignments etc if you're seen to be working hard, and as it's such a small course they no the craic with all of ye. Seriously though, they're all really sound and if you ever run into any issues I'd make Meabh or Louis my first port of call. They can help with nearly anything. Don't fret if you hate it though, it's not at all for every one.. Just stay on top of assignments and it'll be handy to switch to regular BA for second year if ya need to... Best of luck :)

Why do people still mistake attendance for working hard
