26-08-2011 7:11pm#1has anyone noticed rte broadcast some stuff in what seems to me to be hd now? i thought it was all upscaled but i was watching rules of engagement the other night and its seemed good quality . can anyone confirm this?
also is there any plans to launch anymore saorview channels anytime soon?

Nothing official from RTÉ but they could be testing the new HD playout system or simply using a higher average bitrate at times for upscaled material.
During the recent Autumn launch they said many of the US produced TV series will be broadcast in HD - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=73802641&postcount=366.also is there any plans to launch anymore saorview channels anytime soon?
