or is there ever a time when you have a "feeling" that you have won and took it home to check?

Do you worry that the light in the fridge may not turn off when you close the door?

After using the machine I won't chuck the ticket. Have to check again online.

Doesn't change the outcome tho :(

I trust the machine but won't trust anyone working in a spar to check behind the counter and be honest enough to tell me ive won €2 million...

If I worked in a shop that sold lotto tickets, I'd practice my 'sorry you haven't won poker face' all day in case I checked a winner!

Oh dear..... Perhaps I should post you my tickets and you'll return me the winning ones? I can't trust you, right?

    Yes

My father checks his at home and in the shop, and never has he had a winner that the machine said wasn't. In fact it sometimes points out winners that he didn't see

It works 100%, stop being paranoid

A guy working in spar told me if they don't rip it up across the bar code after telling you its not a winner start to become suspicious.

I've got an amazing capacity to look at one small set of numbers and see if any elements coincide with the elements in an equally small set of numbers.

If someone can't check their numbers themselves I wonder who it is that dresses them up and puts them outside the house in the morning, they should lose their carer's allowance because they really aren't meeting the description.

There was an issue with them a few years back where - for a very brief period - they weren't recognizing the smallest winning claim.

I always check the serial number on the ticket against the scanner display. usually the last three digits is enough and a few times it showed up a winner of a free ticket or a fiver that i missed.
