Mad Max reunion of 2007

26-08-2011 3:34pm#1This is a thread I posted up on another forum & it received some very positive feedback, so I figured I'd share it here too
I thought I post of some shots of a Mad Max reunion I was at back in 2007 in Melbourne Australia… this shots are taken in & around a town called Little River & these are the actual roads that they filmed the movie on. I literally have thousands of pics of this weekend, some are in arty black & white & aged formats etc… I’ll post of some to start & then see how we go… the replica bike guys came along & we redid some of the chase scenes & those shots I took from the Interceptor at high speed are some of the best memories I have
Hope you enjoy them too..

thanks a mil for posting. What production car were these based on and what were the specs like engine wise / horsepower.?
really enjoyed them pics.
The Interceptor is based off an Australian Ford, the XB Falcon GT... these where a 351ci V8 (5.8ltr) they had either a Toploader 4 speed manual or an FMX auto & a 9" diff... basically the same running gear as Ford had in the Mustang GT's. They had in or around 350BHP.

Always loved the interceptor from Mad Max 1 better than 2.
Was over at Cars of the Stars last year, got to sit in the original from the movie and get a nice photo in it!
Shame their moving it to the US

Only one of the cars had a functional supercharger... this one
The rest where movie correct, the blower case is empty & the belt runs off the aircon pulley... that allows it to be turned on or off from the switch on the gearshift0
