What kinda clicking noise? Could it be a stone caught somewhere?

It could be your camshaft. I have the 130Bhp GT TDI model and i got the master cylinder done on the clutch. Soon after away i noticed a clicking noise when I accelerated. Went into VW in Belfast and got a quote for £1300 to fix it. Hope you don't have the same problem as me! This will be my last Volkswagen...

Could possibley be a drive shaft.if it was the camshaft the engine does be still running i would check all 4 cv joints on the drive shafts inner and other could even be loose bolts holding the cv joints to the flange on the gearbox.ive done plenty of theses and have seen all sorts of things go wrong
