Jumbo Jet contrails caught by the rising/setting sun. After reading the comments section on that page it seems lots are in agreement with me. Search the term 'Bollide' on youtube for the real deal.

ok, I'll take your word for it :) But someone needs to tell the locals. The police over there are searching for a fallen meteorite .

    Link from RSOE.

Experts believe it may have caused forest fires in the south of the city, which have been ravaged by drought. Local officials and the National Police are currently trying to determine where the meteorite may have landed and are speaking to farmers south of the city. The meteorite fell in the south of the Imperial City, between the districts of San Sebastian and San Geronimo.

I'd suggest the first place they look is Lima International Airport! :D

Yep. Contrail of a jet flying away from observor near the horizon uplit from below by the rays of the setting sun. This Niburu/Elenin crap makes my brain hurt. Conspiracy gob****es that have never picked up a telescope in their lives lecturing with authority that every damn thing in the sky whos identity isn't immediately obvious to them must be a planet killing comet or rogue planet!! Do you know why they got a bee in their bonnet about this particular comet which is one out of a hundred other crappy faint telescopic comets discovered this year?? Because the first 3 letters of its name are ele and sure didn't President Morgan Freeman call the killer comet in the film Deep Impact an ELE. (Extinction Level Event) So of course there is a conspiracy  Nothing to do with the fact that the discoverer of this particular comet was called.......drum roll.....Leonid Elenin.

747 contrail not lit up by the rays of the rising/setting sun but video'e from the ground.

Airbus A380 contrail video taken from the flightdeck of another plane. imagine what that looked like uplit from below by the setting sun and viewed from the ground 50 miles away so it was close to the horizon from the ground viewers perspective.

I see what you're saying but it dosent seem to be moving though. because when he zooms back out it appears to be same spot. Just saying.

I love this post on the sky news page:

"THIS JUST ABOUT SUMS UP SKY NEWS AND ITS ABILITY TO REPORT BOTH WORTHY NEWS OF FACT."

In fairness, Sky were not the only ones to run with this. Also fooled the Police and Civil Defense in Peru :)

    ( as well as me...:o)

all meteoroids are innocent until proven guilty in a court of astronomic law. ..... :)

The contrails are so short pointing up in that V shape because it is so clsoe to the horizon flying directly away from the observor so far away, . Someone 50 miles away looking at the plane from the side so to speak would see much longer contrails from their perspective. It doesn't look like its moving because of the perspective and the fact its so far away. Two planes traveling in the same direction at the same speed with one at 40,000 feet and the other at 5000 feet The low one closer to you will fly from your horizon to horizon a lot quicker than the high one further away and yet they are both traveling at the same speed. Its all to do with angles and perspective and what not. Someone with a maths brain could show you the geometry. I am but a humble shopkeep however :D

Its hard to get through to these morons. They'd rather believe some garish badly coded website written by an accounts clerk from New Jersey than every scientist, professional and amateur astronomer on the planet. Of course we would deny it and make excuses because we're all in on the conspiracy you see......every....last.....one of us!! What depresses me even more is some of them have more money than sense. I was searching for youtube vids of some very expensive eyepieces I was thinking about buying and came across a video that I thought was about the eyepieces. It was actually a vid by these two elenintards who had gone out and bought some fantastic kit. 20" Premium Dob. 12" Meade SCT, Best of the best Eyepieces. Stuff I could only dream of affording. Bought all this because they wanted to find Niburu for themselves and prove to the world that the other 50 million amateur astronomers across the planet were in on the conspiracy. Give me strength!! At first I thought it was satire but apparently tis wasn't some sane amateurs having a laugh. These tards were for real! :D

Title is misleading OP. Saw it and thought why do meteor have great coverage over Peru when they have no coverage at my parents house in Kilkenny
