    Hi all,

I'm interested in buying a titleist vokey wedge and have discovered on golfstoreeurope have a custom fit one for 90 e delivered. Problem is i don't know much about clubs i.e loft and bounce, length and lie. Can anyone recommend what the standard one would be?I'd probably want a 58 loft but after that i don't know. I'm 6ft 2 so would i have to add on length as well?any help is apprrciated

Im 6ft 2 aswell and standard length and lie is fine in a wedge for me, my irons are .25 inch longer, the loft and bounce is your choice, ive got a 52 and a 60, think the bounce is 8 and 6

    I have a:
    - 52 with about 11 degrees of bounce
    - 58 with 4 degrees of bounce
    - 64 with 7 degrees of bounce.

The more bounce, the easier it is supposed to be to use the club in the bunker. The less bounce, the easier it is to hit off tight lies.

That said, I've really started to hit nice bunker shots with my 58. Funny old game.

If your going to buy of golfstoreeurope i would recommend you buy wedges with the old square grooves. The new grooved wedges don't impart near as much spin as the old grooves.

I bought my Volkey wedges from golfstoreeurope, takes a few weeks, but good value.

What are you ordering the wedge for? A lob wedge or a sand wedge?

My 58 lob has very little bounce, whereas my 54 sand has a lot.

It would be used as a lob wedge primarily...my sandwedge is pretty good out of bunkers!

I'm thinkin of goin 56 with 8 degree bounce....

Bounce ok if you're not buying it for sand, but your sand wedge should already be 56 degrees.

It all depends on what you want the club for, but getting a different loft to your sand wedge will give you more options. If you have a standard SW of 56, maybe go for a 60 LW. Or else look at the gap between your PW and SW. The difference between my PW and SW was 8 degrees, whereas all my other irons were 4 degrees apart. So got a gap wedge in between of 51 and use that more than any other club from 100 yds in.

Anyway, I'm starting to ramble here. Maybe get your pro to look at your clubs and get his opinion. Good luck with your choice!

Well my sandwedge is actually 50 degrees. I defo need something with a bit more loft for in and around the greens. what shaft flex should i go for?? I have regular flex on everything so i presume i should go for that ( flex pro x/rifle 5.0) or will i choose the standard one that comes with it?

All my vokey wedges came with "wedge flex" shafts,i presume this is the standard, that shouldnt be much different to what your irons are

If your sand wedge is 50 degrees then it's not a sand wedge! It's the only club that hasn't changed loft over the years. (Before you buy, this is worth a read, explains all http://www.leaderboard.com/LOFTINFO.htm )

If it's 50 and you want to stick with it, then I would go for somewhere about 54/56 degrees with 6-8 bounce. Get the same shafts/flex as your other irons if possible. Worth paying a bit more to get them all the same.

    Good luck with it!

What type of irons have you got that has a 50 degree Sand Wedge - that is a very very strong loft - 56 is typical standard.

Dragging up an old thread but any opinions on this would be great.

Looking to get vokey 54 & 60 degree wedges. My irons are standard everything but had a fitting recently and was told that they should be + 1 inch, + 1 degree and S300 shafts.

I was thinking of have +1 inch on the 54 degree and standard length on the 60 degree.

Loft would be +1 degree on both.

And should I get the S200 (wedge flex) shaft or get the S300 shaft?

    Cheers,
    Reganovski
