Spotted on Hotukdeals. This may not be a deal for some people who think that its crazy money to spend on a remote control but these normally retail at closer to €280!

They are blemished box and you have to apply the following two codes to get them at this price

    hvdoqqjed
    tu9wmxq8j

Also includes a free pair of headphones worth £15. I just purchased mine now to replace my old logitech 885 unit.

Use Fatcheese to get an extra 4% cashback (Thanks Amber2)

Perfect timing - was waiting for iBood or someone to offer the Harmony One but this is a step up (I think - a few mixed reviews on Amazon) but at that price can't complain.

And free headphones - though I'm not going back to school any time soon :D

    Thank you mbroaders!

I just put in an order for myself. I have a harmony 515 and its very good but it was one of the cheapest on amazon when I was setting up my htpc, always regretted not getting a fancier one (even tho the 515 is still great). I have logitech mice, keyboards etc and they are all very reliable and lovely to use.

Great find, cheers for sharing. :)

Wow, didn't know I needed this until I saw this post. You bastard!

I'm replacing my old clunky Pronto Neo TSU500 as a belated bday gift to myself :D

(I consider it retail therapy after missing out on a TouchPad)

Order already placed, I assume it is too late for fatcheese. btw, wtf is fatcheese? Just by opening the window from their site you get a discount?

Yep you click on the link from fatcheese and eventually (can take weeks to months) you get your cash back. You can pop it into your paypal account for example. You need an account with fatcheese obviously. You could cancel and re-order i suppose? 4% works out aroun €5-€5.50 or so.

I think it was already a good bargain! Assumming you ordered one post here when it arrives and let us know what a "box blemish" is. If everything in the box is 100% it's funny they wouldn't just put it in a new 50p box and sell for full price.

    Hi

Can anyone tell me exactly what one of these does. I was wondering can I control equipment in another room with it. Especially a PS3 and an AV receiver

    Thanks

Well you get the fact that this is a universal remote right? The differentiating factor in your favour is that it uses RF to a unit which then drives IR blasters. The benefit is RF doesn't need line-of-sight and yes may work fine from another room. In addition, if your gear is in a normally closed cabinet the IR blasters can be placed inside and there is a good chance you will be able to operate your gear with the doors closed.

The PS3 uses bluetooth which doesnt work out of the box with this. You can get a PS3 add on though. Although i think it was fairly expensive (£28 on amazon anyhow).

A box blemish sounds like an STD.

I distinctly remember almost needing a chainsaw to get my last remote of the packaging - it is so tough. Anything short of abomb damage im sure it should be good;)

Great price. It's 200 pounds on amazon. I've the harmony one. It's about 100 pounds on amazon. I think the only difference is the RF versus IR. I can see all my devices so harmony one IR does the job.

Life's too short to have to mess around with 3 or 4 remotes instead of the one to rule them all... :P

    Second code not working ?
And according ti the site the 900 is 259 whether you buy new or box blemish?

Ws the price different on friday?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,894 ✭✭✭Mr. Fancypants

Yep afraid so. Just tried there again and the second code is expired.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,113 ✭✭✭subway

Damm, and Was it 259 to start with?

    Yep, was a big discount!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,113 ✭✭✭subway

Ok, then I'm just not sure why you didn't buy the new one then as it's 259 anyway?
Does the blemish one have full warranty etc or is there something extra?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,894 ✭✭✭Mr. Fancypants

Full warranty with the blemished box. Not sure about the pricing though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 259 ✭✭scorn

Well, a package arrived today and it's the free set of headphones but no sign of the remote!

The tracking number for the remote doesn't even register with UPS - anyone received theirs yet?

Got a tracking number for the headphones a few days ago but got my tracking number for the remote today in a separate email. I imagine it will be next Tuesday/Wednesday before it arrives.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 259 ✭✭scorn

Ok - in that case I'll wait a bit longer. It's odd that there are tracking numbers for both items when you log in to the Logitech site, but only the headphones one works.

I'll see if I get a second email in the next day or so before I write to them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,933 ✭✭✭beardybrewer

Ah, I'm in the same boat. I was tracking a package meant to arrive tomorrow and was hoping it was the remote in time for the weekend. It's probably just the headphones so. I got another email today and another tracking number that's not in the system yet. I was secretely hoping they sent me 2 remotes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,894 ✭✭✭Mr. Fancypants

Mine arrived today, haven't been home yet to check it out yet though :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 259 ✭✭scorn

Just checked my tracking on UPS (tried on Sunday but the UPS site was hacked so could only see the hackers page :P). It says that the receptionist has signed for it so it must be downstairs. I'll fetch it at lunch time...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 133 ✭✭Bane

Received it this morning! Blemished box? The box was in great condition, an every so slight dent in one corner, so slight that I wouldn't have thought twice about it if I were buying it from a shop. Probably wouldn't of even noticed the dent, it was that small. :P

Anyways everything in perfect condition inside. Leaving it charge and will sort out the installation when I get back from work later tonight. It says on the manual it takes about an hour to setup. Hopefully not. :D

Thx to the OP! Great find! :D

PS. If ye find there's a bit of rattling going on when you shake the remote, don't freak out! ... that's normal, it's the tilt sensor. :p

I agree about the box - they must have extremely fussy QA as I couldn't see a blemish on the box at all. In fact, I assumed they repacked it but that wouldn't really be cost effective :)

Will take it out and charge it over night - hopefully setting it up won't be a nightmare... but once done I'll be happy!
