unlocked iphone 3g

Hi everybody, I have a 3g phone which has been unlocked by o2/apple. I have an iphone 4 coming today and i want to give my old phone to my sister. If i do a factory restore in itunes will the 3g remain unlocked? If it doesn't, whats the easiest way to delete all my stuff off? Bop.

If it's been officially unlocked by Apple then it should remain unlocked.
