    Hey guys

We have two toilets upstairs which are sharing a wall. Like in any standard three bed house, one is with ensuite and one common one.

Problem is that when we flush the common toilet, we get a backflush in the ensuite toilet. To explain it, if I flush green colour in common toilet, you will see some green colour will appear in the ensuite toilet.

And its an issue and we like to fix it! Do you think, its a big job or something
can be done with it please.

    Thanks

    Rooni

It all depends on how they were connected. I dont think its a problem to be honest. I am guessing what is happening is the exit pipes are staggered and the dye from the flush is seeping into the other one. Once the water is not leaving the toilet of one when you flush another it should not really be a problem

However its very difficult to say if it can be fixed without seeing it.

ps. Stop using blue loos etc in the cistern if your toilet is top flush it totally screws them up.

Thanks Joey the lips.. I think, I try to explain the problem in nicer way.. which lowered the impact of issue :) Basically.. when we flush in common toilet.. the water gets all dirty in the ensuite toilet.. and sometimes you see the sh*** there aswell..

How long have you been in the property, if it has only happened recently check your drains for blockages. If it`s a new property it is a poor install and you will need to get someone to have a look.

No, but it shouldn`t be too hard to do, ask your neighbours or friends if they can recommend anyone.

I would say you most likly have a blockage in the 4 inch pipe or the pipe has a back fall .
You should have an inspection cover on the 4 inch soil.Remove the inspection cover and inspect.WARNING avoid been directly in front of inspection cover when removing.
