On in a few months but Freddie is picking his picks soon.

Seems like Eldrick has got one of Freddie's 2 picks.

Would you pick him or not?

I wouldn't as he hasn't done enough to justify selection.

Keegan Bradley I presume will get the other pick if things stay the same

Don't forget Rickie Fowler, after his great Ryder Cup or Bill Haas (his old man is a vice captain!).

I think its a joke Woods is picked. For as much as i dislike Monty, atleast he could make some tough decisions, such as leaving out Garcia. I know Woods is a much better player then Garcia, but Garica had a great Ryder Cup Record.

Its an exhibition for charity. Of course he has to pick Woods. He is the biggest draw. Not too many people will turn up and pay to see Bradley, Haas, etc whereas they will for Woods. It is about maximising the income for many worthwhile causes and for that sake I hope he picks him

I think it was a hard decision either way, someone would be complaining, I have seen glimpses(only glimpses) of what Tiger is capable of this season and if he plays in one of the fall series tournaments, who knows, he may win one!!

He really needs to sort the caddy issue though. And also I take issue with him not playing in the Wyndham as a good finish there would have got him into the Fedex Cup and also would have pushed him up the Presidents cup rankings!

They don't package it as a charity event, its the US v's ROW!! Picking him makes a mockery of the event and the qualification process. If its a charity event, we may as well roll out Norman and he'd get the crowds in down under.

Whatever way they package it, at the end of the day its a charity event unless I am totally mixed up which can happen :) All the money goes to charities selected by the players (i think its the players but i could be wrong). He is the biggest draw so I think its a good call. And be honest, selection process or not, would you rather watch Woods or Bradley / Haas? Forget about selection criteria, who would you pay 20/30 quid to see? Thats what Couples is picking for.

With all that said, i would love to see Woods v's Stevie Williams in the singles. Would bring out the best in Stevie.

Keegan Bradley will get the other pick if there's any bit of sense :P

Rickie Fowler should get it. Don't believe Tiger should get a pick. Think that would just be sponsers/tv dictating who gets picked.

Eldrick Woods and Bill Hass get the picks.

Michael Jordon and Jay Haas are the vice captains.

That's a pity I was really hoping Meehan Bradley would get a pick.

Bill Haas deserves his, he's had a great year and the fact that his father is the VC doesn't really come into it.

Keegan Bradley really should have gotten the other pick but I can see why Freddie went for Woods, leaving him out would have just stirred controversy in the media which you can do without really.

I was dubious enough of Couples decision to announce the Woods selection at the time that he did just in case a scenario similar to the one that has now reared its head was down the line.
Now, Woods, who is desperately trying to avoid any more bad press is directly to blame for the current PGA Champion NOT getting a Captains pick when he is obviously the form player at the moment and probably for the last couple of months!
Woods, should for the team, stand down and publicly admit that he is not in the form necessary to contribute to the success of Team USA. Would be a huge gesture from him and maybe it shows that the Presidents Cup is not held in any reverence in comparison to the Ryder Cup..

Looks like Mr PGA Bradley is going to get in after all, as Stricker is likely to undergo surgery for a herniated disc, with a view to being back in action for January.
