    Just something that popped into my head and google doesn't seem to want to tell me...

    why are the hash marks in college football so much wider than in the NFL... :o

    NFL line them off the posts NCAA they don't. The NFL must have decided making them narrower opens the field of play maybe.

    I actually only really copped on because when your shooting a field goal in madden you can just kick it straight and unless there's a gale force wind you basically always score....

    in NCAA 12 you actually have to aim and it's actually pretty hard sometimes... :p

    just though it should be the other way round for kickers in the NFL that they'd have a slightly harder job of shooting because they would have to shoot from a wider angle and that compared to the college kickers... i know it's a pretty small thing but yeah...

    but as you say the field is always more open in the NFL.. when the ball is lined up on the hash marks in college football that side of the field is tiny compared to the other side...
