A house I saw recently has a similar colour combo and a slate colour floor, not sure what type of tile it was looked kind of stone like but quite smooth (sorry didn't look to close), but it looked good.

If you are wondering what type of flooring is appropriate for your kitchen, I would like to suggest you wood floors, they are among the oldest of the flooring types and are great because they enhance any space, adding more than beauty, as well as style.

I went with white oak recessed sliding doors and dark wallnut worktops for my build.

    I went with 600 x 600 x 25mm polish marble with a 200 x 25mm wide brown marble border for the kitchen floor.

Wooden flooring in a kitchen is a no no.Same with a bathroom or an ensuite too.

What happens if or when a washing machine leaks or a dishwasher breaks down or a fridge/freezer leaks,or a water pipe bursts??? Sodden and ruined wooden flooring,is what will happen.
