Nearest bank of ire??

Hi all

Need to get to a bank of Ireland, is there any on campus? If not where would the closest be??

There are two Ulster Bank one's at the Ulster Bank between Spar and the Stables, and another Ulsterbank one in Red Raisins if i'm not mistaken

There's another Ulster Bank one beside the Arena. Also, the only BoI ATM is beside the branch (the one already mentioned).

I don't know if many people know this but the nearest AIB ATM to the university is in the Singland Motors shop just off the groody r'bout, opposite supermac's. Just saves ye's headin up to the AIB bank itself opposite the hurlers which is the only other one in Castletroy and is quite a walk from the college

I'd also recommend setting up banking365 with BOI, saved me plenty of walks to the branch, handy for credit/checking balance which was why I used to always have to walk from thomond to Spar

Can I jus double check something, is this a normal branch that I can get a bank draft from? Or does it have limited services?

It's actually the other way around. It's a shorter walk from Stables to AIB Castletroy than it is to the Singland shop. Plenty of personal experience

For me it's not for definite and i have done it enough times praying that I have money in my account! ...but if you think so fair enough. It's still another option anyway for people who live that side of Castletroy like I did! Much handier going to the Singland shop en route home, than it is to go all the way up to the bank itself and all the way back!

As far as i'm aware it's an actual normal branch of BOI but i'm not with them so not 100% sure. There's another one in the Parkway shopping centre if that one doesn't work but i'm sure it will

Quick question, do AIB ATMs accept Bank Of Ireland cards or do you have to specifically go a BOI ATM to get cash?

Any ATM will work :-)

From a postal side you should know that letters etc for the BoI UL go to the one next to Spar/Hotel and mail for BoI Castletroy go to the Parkway branch.
