i presume that anti psychotic drugs would have certain side affects that would be unwelcome if a unexpecting person took one.

Antipsychotic drugs can cause anything from depression to psychosis to seizures. It really isn't a good idea to take any if you don't have any mental problems. Even people who have to take them usually also have to take other drugs to mitigate the side-effects.

    Someone done goofed.

Have to agree - it's probably easier to get the anti psychotic drugs than it is a packet of nurofen plus!

Will this be another question that they will ask you when you want to buy a pack in the chemists?

Win win for keeping pain at bay while maintaining some sanity!

I took some before and they make you sleep for ages, like 12+ hours. If it is your first time taking them, be prepared to feel very sedated, thoughts exiting your head and you will have very vivid dreams when you go to bed. You can still walk around the place, you would be far from "out of it" but I would not recommend you operate machinery.

Anti-psychotic drugs are also called Neuroliptics or Major Tranquilisers. (no, they are not as powerful as something that could knock an tiger out, but they are powerful in human terms which is much less.)

I took some a while back that gave me the shakes and I couldn't think for hours. Usually never happens. Even worse that I was working. My boss asked me if I wanted to take a break and get some water.

I found this rather odd, they're hinting at commercial sabotage.

Probably one of those untrained ''intern'' slaves opperating the packing lines. AFAIK it's kinda hard to pack only a few. The Kan-Ban could contain hundrededs of thousands.

Lucky frickin you - all of my local chemists are complete NAZIS when it comes to doling out the ole Neurofen Plus. And if go you into most chains, like a Boots, they're even worse.

So bad was my Neurofen Plus habit that after the 'ban' I started ordering it online. Which is the only place I know that you have ever been able to buy packs of 32 (so I really don't think too many people are likely to be affected by this).

I did eventually manage to kick it though - it's been about 3 months now, waheyyyyyyyyyyy!

Deadly, I think I've got some of them in the press.

    Oh wait... anti-psychotic?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,758 ✭✭✭Temaz

Another drug found in the spiked boxes
Neurontin, which is also a prescription drug and can cause dizziness, was found in a packet bought at a pharmacist in Northern Ireland.

The level of quality control and regulation in those pharma companies is outstanding. Won't believe this is the work of one lone dissatisfied sabatour. Highly unlikely.

All grand in my shop. Though I never give out Nurofen Plus anyway! Muahahaha

Scotland Yard is examining the entire Nurofen Plus production chain after anti-psychotic drugs were found in a number of packets of the painkillers in the UK.

The company has said the packets were tampered with deliberately and a full investigation is underway.

The Irish Medicines Board has recalled boxes of the drugs from wholesalers in the Republic of Ireland and pharmacists are being asked to check every packet on shop shelves.
