I remember when he signed most expected him to be a jobber to the stars maybe a Jamie Noble type dude due to his size and all that jazz. However since his return at Summerfest 2010 its been hard to pick holes. He has had some slowish periods but that's to be expected in the WWE midcard these days.

Anyways the highlights, I enjoyed his feud with Miz, some cracking matches especially at NOC. The Sheamus matches were good as were his recent matches on Smackdown with Kidd and Del Rio.

Going forward I don't know what will happen with MITB, Mania is a long time away so I doubt even the bookers do!

Their hasn't been any real lowpoints at all have their?

Anyways what have you all made of his career and what do you predict will happen in the next 6 months or so?

Happy with how the E have used Bryan? 25 votes

Yep, they have excedded my expectations..

Even if he loses at 'Mania (here's hoping that he does get there) it'll have far exceeded anybodies loftiest expectations. He's done really, really well in a short period.

    Lets see.

He was a centre point of NXT season 1.

Got huge attention when he was "sacked" for choking Justin Roberts.

Came back in the biggest storyline at Summerslam to a huge ovation and did very well in the match.

Fueded with soon to be WWE Champ - The Miz over the US title and won it.

Had a decent enough reign as champion.

    Has won MITB.

All in the space of a little over a year.

I think that is a huge thumbs up.

Highlight for me is Bryan vs Ziggler at Bragging Rights 2010. WWE.com making it joint match of the year with Taker/HBK was a pleasant surprise. Although it looks like they may have bumped it to the #2 spot.

Based on where the rest of Nexus is now, choking out Justin Roberts was the best thing he's done for his WWE career.

Totally forgot about the Ziggler matches, those matches was his best work.

Bryan is a bit like Benoit he'll probably never be pushed as a Main Eventer all the time & they feel they can afford to have him lose from time to time. He's made Miz, Ziggler & in particular Sin Cara look better than anyone else could, pity wwe ****ed up his feud with Sheamus that had real potential. Fingers crossed he doesn't lose the briefcase

I voted for "Terrible, haven't booked him well at all"

But I could just go with haven't booked him well at all tbh. Sure he's had some moments in WWE. But I still feel it could be better. He won MITB yet has lost 5 matches in a row since then, and has spent a great deal of him time in WWE, jobbing. Hopefully they'll do better with him. But I don't think WWE takes him very seriously and he's just going to be used essentially for making people look good. I feel like this MITB win will turn out like Jack Swagger's MITB last year, with him ending up back to where he is not in a few months time. I also think he'll win the WHC title but will proberly be booked poorly and look weak.

The only one of those loses that did him any harm was the first loss to Del Rio due to how short the match was. The rest of them were competitive matches where taking the loss does him no harm because he looked great. Losing is not jobbing.

Could be and should be used far better then he currently is.Hasn't had a proper feud since The Miz almost a year ago.

And they should really stop Michael Cole burying him on commentary everytime he appears on screen too,so counter-productive.

Thats the bit I don't get you have a bloated commentator who never wrestled constantly calling him Nerd. Although he mixed it up last week saying Bryan would ask girls to sign his yearbook in school & they'd write thanks for being a friend.

    Its been pretty good.

    Better than my expectations certainly.

Cole does my head in whining about him but Booker bugs him up so it could be worse.

I enjoyed his run on NXT with his debut match v Jericho and then the side storyline with Miz and cole.

His Nexus debut was a shocking moment as was the firing and the return at summerslam.

I enjoyed his feud with Miz.

The Gail Kym Bellas storyline was odd but he came out of it okay. This and his mentoring of Bateman gave him a chance to show something differant and he did well.

He has had a series of top matches with the names already mentioned.

Winning MITB was a huge surprise.

It still damages his momentum though. The guy needs to be built up, he needs to win matches in order to look as if he might pose a threat to the world champion(s).

He has done very well since Nxt and has excelled on SD since his draft move imo

Hopefully a feud with Christian is on the cards and I wouldnt mind seeing him and Bateman having a tag title reign ;)

And that'll will come in due time but competitive loses to the likes of Del Rio will do him no harm at all.

WWE doesnt built up first time Champions before or during their first reign.

A mate of mine reckons a heel turn could be on the cards.....with all his talk of how dishonest it is to cash in the way del rio did. What better way to turn heel then to do the exact same to Orton? However id prefer if this didn't happen

Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Yokozuna, Kane, Austin, Angle and Lesnar are a few who instantly spring to mind as being built up before their first reigns.

I am talking about in the modern era.

Either it is a MITB or by a fluke (Sheamus putting Cena throught a table).

Del Rio from the start was built up by saying it was his destiny to win the title.

Beat former world champion in his first feud and won the Rumble.

He had very little momentum winning the title his initial push petered out for a good while. WWE delayed putting the title on him 6 times he was an afterthough for chunks for the Summer.

and he still is going by the viewing figures this week.

the modern era treats its first time champions completely differently to previous eras.

John Cena's pretty much the only exception in the last 5/6 years.

He had a great match on this weeks superstars against Drew Mcintyre
    Breaking his losing streak

Seems as though they are really gonna try push the "he can make anybody submit" aspect from here on out! If they push on from here it could be really class!
