Can anyone recommend a good PR company who can send out a Press Release to the Irish Independent, Irish Times etc….

If anyone has a company they use it would be great.

    Cheers

Here is a list of Award Winning Irish companies

I can personally recommend Gemini Consulting who are mentioned in the opening paragraph for their work with the Jack & Jill Foundation.

They also work with the DIT Fashion Show, which despite sponsorship being hard to get managed to get Alfa Romeo to sponsor them over the last two years, likely due to its high profile and PR.

PM if you want a contact email, I can get it from someone in the fashion show.

Why don't you write your own "Press Releases", get contact details of newspapers and send them yourself?

Why would anyone need a middle man/company to do these things?

Try doing that yourself, and, unless you're already a massive company with big news (e.g. Apple announcing iPhone 5 launch date), you'll see why PR companies exist.

Getting a press release picked up by a national paper is, to put it mildly, difficult.

A PR Consultant can send it out at the right time, to the right people, on the right day, with the right pictures (if applicable), with the article being the perfect length and being appropriately interesting.

Local media maybe can be blagged, National is a whole different ball game.

Thanks for the reply and information. We have actually written it in house, the key is getting distributed to all the Irish News Outlets and as lst suitably interesting for national pick up.

Not if you know people within the National Media :D

    Point taken for others though.

We do our own press releases. We did have a PR company do one press release but they didn't get any more coverage than when we do it.
