Cool sheets etc in the summer. But not so much in the winter. Bed has to be toasty from the electric blanket, before getting in:)

    Bed must never be toasty.

Ah, not too hot. Just not cold. Nothin worse than forgetting to turn off the blanket after getting in, and waking up in a lather of sweat, in the middle of the night:(

Feather pillow! Best pillow ever! Always fluff-able, easily molded to whatever shape you want it to be (eg: Neck support, sitting up etc.)
Definitely worth the little spiky bits, they only go to further contrast with the exceedingly comfortable experience :)

+ loads of fresh air in bedroom

(and its all for me the basics of hygenic healthy lifestyle - you would be surprised how many people go to sleep in not so fresh bed in stuffy smelly bedroom and they would also leave tv on for night.. then they dont know why they have headache and other health problems..)

If you wear pyjamas in bed how do you get to feel the crunch of sheets?

    Clean Room, freshly aired
    Fresh bed linen
    Shower
    Bed (naked or with underwear)

Anything else just isn't good enough :pac:

And as for electric blankets..how could you? Beds should be cold and warm up with the body heat.

I hope they are not that dangerous. I sleep with the electric blanket at no 1 all night during the winter.

How strange. How does a place-name come to describe the cool underside of a pillow?

Some people wear short type pyjama things. Even better if your a girl, you've just shaved your legs in the shower and you can feel the nice clean sheets even better.

I recommend guys do this just once to get the feeling.

    Agree... But have to add:

    2. The knowledge that you can have a lie in the following morning

NOOOOOO - when I lived in my parents house, feather pillows were the norm (and still are!) but I cannot stand them, feels like sleeping on nothing because they end up so flat. Memory foam or neck support pillows all the way! Father duvets are great as long as the don't end up with the stuffing all clumped together in one spot. (BTW, you can get special pillow covers that go under the regular cover to stop the spiky bits coming through)

Hot water bottles > electric blankets - warm and cold spots incase of "hot feet syndrome". Plus, they are huggable - great if it's a really cold night!
