    Hi All,

the EPS light came on in my car yesterday 09 Ford Focus. you know the one for stability control. it looks like the back of the car with squiggly lines coming off of it. hopped into the car yesterday lunch time and it was orange.

is this a serious issue? i had the car serviced by a ford garage 2 weeks ago and they changed the front left tyre. could this have affected it? i would hope that if there was any problems with the car they would have noticed it when it was being serviced.

Usually when this happens its the ABS module, the mechanical part of it(can be bought separately).
    Expensive:(

same just happened to me today, light came on. booked it in for a service and investigation on Tuesday but im fearful it will be the ABS module! i've done some browsing online and all signs point to fault ABS module.

    are there other potential faults?

p.s. tod1982 what did it turn out to be?

    Can be the wheel bearing.

hmmm you might be onto something there, the other evening I was parallel parking and to me shame i bang the side wall of the wheel off the curb.

I guess this could lead to the sensor issue?

Noticed before that I lost traction - and the light showed up but it went away the next day
