Help with 2nd Arts subject registration

Hopefully someone can help me - I registered online (in the about 2 mins it wasn't broken yesterday!) and now I have to choose my subjects online too.
I know I want to do History and English - but this note confused me....

"Note: that for your seminar/colloquia/subjects for Geography, History, English you must sign up for these with the relevant Discipline, they will forward this information to the Registration Office for upload."

Now does this mean that I pick normal modules I want to do and pick my seminar yolks later, or do I just register for the subjects and pick both modules and seminar later?
    Or whats the score?

Anyone with any insight into the strange minds of the nuig staff that can help me out would be muchly appreciated! :)

Have a similar problem going into 3rd Arts. Once again, the great institution known as NUIG has conjured up yet another brilliant addition to the already fantastic History registration system.

From what I can tell were supposed to pick our actual lecture modules without any sort of timetable and without knowing whether they will clash with other subjects. As for your colloqium, that is done seperately when you return to uni.

Ha! Ya it's quite - special - anyways!
But great - thanks for that :)

When I was in 2nd year, you applied for a colloquia and were assigned it at the beginning of the year, choosing your modules afterwards.

Well you don't need it, but I would think some knowledge would be expected. You have 2 weeks to decide with the intro. lectures.

Don't worry about it. You can be fully registered but it's up to individual lecturers to enroll you in a module separately on Blackboard. Some don't use it at all so not all modules you take may actually have content on it.

When do we need to register modules etc. I'm doing History and French, but I'm not sure what modules I want to do yet...?

30th of September is the final day to "build the curriculum".

I haven't filled in the link yet for the subjects, will wait til the end of the first week so I can sample each of the courses offered. I think in less than 48 hours after completing the link, the subjects will be on blackboard (unless the course has not been activated on blackboard yet).

    Hers is said link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dDBlRDRsMG9mT0w5Q2R1dVM3VUVIUEE6MQ

Eh? Are you saying we have until the 30th to register our subjects/modules?

"N.B. A change to Subject and Module selection for Semester 1, 2011/12, please note you do not have to select your subject/modules until you return to University, you have until the 30th September to choose your subject/modules. (Put N/A into boxes that you are not using)"

That's not necessarily true. Computer Services (ISS) are given lists of student names for each module and they look after registration on Blackboard. It's not up to lecturers to register what could potentially be hundreds of students.
