    Just a question - do ye give a card and gift to kid starting secondary??

    Hmmm, never thought of it. Depends on relationship, if it was a son or daughter I would say no but niece or nephew a Good Luck card wouldn't go astray but no cash. A voucher for Easons or school supply shop would be the best option imo.

    Damn, I have a nephew starting secondary school this year, I'll have to follow my own advice now.

    I got a card off some relations,not from further ones. Not expected by any means.

    I never had anyone give my kids cards for starting secondary school. They got them for exams though.
