Apple block distribution of Samsung android phones in Europe

    The ruling covers the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and Galaxy Ace, apparently because the gallery app is too similar to the Iphone. What I dont understand is that I have a Galaxy mini and my friend has an S II, and the gallery's are almost identical yet the Mini isn't mentioned, plus seeing as there both Androids why are Samsung being singled out ?.

    Samsung is singled out because they're the biggest selling Android manufacturer at the moment. Seeing that Android sales surpassed the iPhone last quarter (mind you, not only Samsung sales but total Android), Apple is desperate to stop the flow at all cost. Only those 3 phones are mentioned because they're the top 3 Samsung phones right now. My 2c

    7 weeks to sell stuff thats boxed and change the gallery app for new devices, not really that big a deal, Samsung actually welcomed the court case because most of the more serious patents Apple were complaining about we're thrown out.

    It'll be interesting to see if Google push out an update to all devices seeing as its part of the standard Android OS

    The gallery is crap anyway, Quickpic is much better.
    I see this is teh things to come from companies now.
    Patent wars. Sad way to go rather than try to innovate and beat the other company with good ideas, just sue them over patents.
