Dan Severn, 100 wins in MMA

    Dan Severn, ex-UFC heavyweight champion has amassed 100 wins in pro MMA. He is 52 years old and still fighting. A great role model for the sport, he holds notable wins over Tank Abbott, Oleg Taktarov, Ken Shamrock, Ebeneezer Fontes Braga, Forrest Griffin, Robert Berry, and Colin Robinson. He has held various world titles for small orgs as well as being the UFC 5 tournament winner, Ultimate Ultimate 95 tournament winner and UFC superfight champion. His multiple suplexes on Anthony Macias at UFC 4 is infamous. Since leaving the UFC he has improved his submission game, earning 60 wins by sub. He's not the first MMA fighter to reach 100 wins, but certainly the most high profile.

    I remember seeing him on Inside MMA or one of those shows a while back now, but I remember getting the impression the guy was a real gent and a hell of a lot of craic.

    The guy is a legend! And I love when orgs bring him in to commentate.

    Saw him on a Shark Fights broadcast and some of the things he came out with were awesome! I remember he said something like:

    "This one was like prison sex! Quick, violent and bloody"

    That was Don Frye not Severn.

    It's an amazing achievement to be even fighting as regularly as he is at that age nevermind having 100 wins.

    Without the moustaches they'll be like Sampson without the hair. Huge fan of Frye too, but Severn has fought smart all his life, Frye has had injuries galore and will never be anywhere near 100 fights unlike Severn.

    Don Frye is hilarious. He did a shark fights a year ago ro summat and I was nearly pissing my pants.
