For the last three nights ( 22,23 and 24 August) at around 11.45 a steam loco running light has passed through Portadown.

On Monday the loco was travelling north and on Tuesday and Wednesday the loco was heading South. I caught a brief glimpse of it tonight and it appeared to be No.4 pointing south, headlamps blazing.

Did it head out the Armagh line towards Clones?

Yeah, I know it sounds unlikely.

Dammit, I'll get a pic if it comes through again tonight!

The Jeep's boiler ticket ran out recently, I'm wondering if the RPSI are doing proving trials for the next ticket. A few light return trips down to Dublin or Dundalk would be useful.

I'm afraid No.4 will require a little more than proving trials for the next ticket...

The answer shouldn't be too hard to work out really.
