    Hi all,

I recently got a male Jack Russell cross dog from the pound and need some professional advice.

Can anyone recommend a vet, preferably around Rush or Skerries, but willing to travel further.

I think I need to have the dog neutered and also a check up.
Anyone any idea how much neutering should cost btw?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I can highly recommend the new vet in Balbriggan. Here is a previous thread about him http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=73332589

When we needed to get our kitten neutred or whatever its called we brough her down to the Blue Cross in Drumcondra. Its prices are displayed and they are very very efficient. As they are voluntary run it is cheaper then your standard vet. Best check online for opening hours but pretty sure its only Mon night and Thur night.

I use the vet in Lusk for my cats, would recommend. Their opening hours are better than some others in the area also.

    Details here: http://www.hotfrog.ie/Companies/Lusk-Vets-O-Scanaill-Associates

I've only used them for vaccinations though so can't say how much prices would be for anything else.

Have used the one in Lusk a good few times. Always found them helpful.

I have used O'Scanaills in Swords and found them all very nice. The surgery is spotless.
