What would be the motor tax on a 1.6L 08 VW Passat. Every site I look at gives me a different answer!

You need to find out the co2 emissions from the log book and check it against the price on www.motortax.ie, there are different values for 1.6 Passats depending on the setup.

Maybe check engine size rates against co2 emission rates for a 2008 model (year of change in road tax system)?? Both rates are on that site. Whichever one is cheaper?

Buy the 1.4 Tsi 122bhp version instead, it's alot lively, more economical and pre July 2008 models are €334 to tax.
