Booking flights problem

Question: I want to book flights with air Asia for my sister on my credit card. She seems to think that she won't be able to get on the flight as she reckons the airline would need her name on the credit card that made the booking.

Anyone know if this is the case? It seems ridiculous but just said I'd ask here first.

Most online registration/purchase is a two step purchase...

    1) Passenger name (or delivery name)
    2) Card holder name, details & delivery adress

Can't see it being a problem. Do a dummy run thru to the payment stage and just don't pull the trigger on it.

for car hire you often have such conditons, but not with airlines.

Some airlines insist on it (Singapore and Cathay are two that spring to mind), while some don't. They'll normally make it quite clear on booking. I don't think Air Asia does, however.

I`ve a vague recollection of Air Asia requiring it years ago but they don`t now. (Bangkok Air still do in that part of the world).

Good luck with booking - their website is more of an obstacle course than even Ryanair!
