    Furthermore, the study, published by PLoS Biology, says a staggering 86% of all species on land and 91% of those in the seas have yet to be discovered, described and catalogued.
    While this does represent huge potential for marine biology and other fields of the biological sciences, I think what this neglects to point out is that so many of these creatures will be largely identical to creatures already named and known to be extant, with similar biological properties.

    Why don't they give some numbers that people would actually be interested in?
    I for one want to know what percentage of them are delicious on the barbecue.
