Every time i reboot my laptop my desktop shortcuts move out of place.

How can I make them stick permanently?

    I'm on Windows 7 Pro.

    Thanks ;)

Give Desksave a try. It'll save your layout and restore it at startup.

I use it all the time for restoring my desktop after updating video card drivers.

I think this usually happens when there is some change related to your display or video card properties, for example a screen resolution change. Is it possible that something like this happens every time you reboot?

I getcha. No, well I just bought a new laptop, put windows 7 pro on it. Had to install a few new drivers to get things working again, like the Fn button and stuff...

Deadly, ill give that a shot now.
But why doesn't windows save the state of the icons anyway? You'd think it would be normal?
