What kind of box is this?

    Saw this box for sale on Adverts.ie and was wondering what it is?
    It looks like a Sky HD Box from the front but the rear photo proves its not a genuine Sky HD Box ,anyone know what it is?

    yes have seen two of them recently,its a single input hd box,it has one tuner only and no internal hard drive,there isnt any rf modulator also,it can be used without the hd sub also so could be used for sd and hd channels.

    Sky have issued them for use as multiroom boxes,they are standard for all multiroom installs now.They are HD boxes but with no recording capability.

    SkyHD box (DRX595)

    New Sky STB is the entry level product replacing the current standard definition Sky Digibox.

    The SkyHD box functionality remains exactly the same as the existing standard definition Sky Box, but has the added advantage of being able to receive HD channels.

    It has a caddy for a drive inside.

    pretty sure these don't have any caddy inside, think what you may be confusing with a caddy is the enclosure for the smart cart reader.

    Are these not the Sky Boxes they use in shopping centers that they use for promotion purposes. There's no recording facility on them.

    I've seen a lot of them for sale lately one guy on Ebay was selling a few that he had
