Ok first of all, I'm sure everyone remembers the infamous interruption video of Jerome Hughes:

I was looking for this video yesterday so I typed it in on Google, and the wikipedia article for Jerome Hughes came up first.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerome_Hughes

In this article, there is an entire section called "Death Threat":
On Friday the 13th of July 2007, while Jerome was reporting for TV3 (at an inquest into the death of an Irish prisoner) outside Dublin City Coroner's Court, he received a death threat live on air. Jerome was reporting for the main evening news when shouting could be heard coming from behind him. A man wearing a brown hoodie approached Jerome and pulled up his hood. "I'll blow your ****ing head off", the man shouted. The man continued to make a gun shape with his hand at Jerome's face and said, "Ya f*ckin' muppet" and gun shots can be heard before it cuts back to the shocked studio.[3][4] There were fears for Jerome's life while the Irish Daily Star and his local radio station Highland Radio reported on the incident.[5]
The incident was broadcast on The Podge and Rodge Show on March 3, 2009. Host Caroline Morahan awarded Jerome's attacker with the best TV cameo award at a fake Meteor Awards ceremony.

There was also an article which apparently appeared in the Sunday Mirror alleging that his colleagues were "shocked" and "disturbed" to find a video of the incident circulating online.

COLLEAGUES of a TV3 reporter who received a death threat live on camera are horrified that the clip has surfaced on the net

    O_o

Is this a joke or was the incident actually taken all that seriously?! When I watched it I assumed it was just some "f*ckin' muppah" messing around for a laugh, not a proper "death threat"

It would take a special kind of muppet to make a death threat on live TV.

Death threat lol. Twice in the last two months I've had similar things said to me. Can't say I feared an actual weapon.

Always thought it was weird that they let an apparently serious correspondent on TV with a haircut like a 15 year old X-factor wannabe.
