Opel astra problem

Hi, I tried to start my opel astra today but when i turned the key asolutely nothing happened. The radio, wipers, eletric window, hazards all work. I tried to jump start it tonight thinking it may be the battery but again nothing when i turn the key in the ignition. Any ideas what this could be?

starter motor maybe? I used to push start my Fiat when starter failed, however it is not recommended, so decision is up to you. If it starts without using starter motor, problem solved....
