Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm heading off to college in Galway in a few weeks. Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any jazz sessions in the city? If so, where?

I'm afraid I have no idea of the city, so you'll have to spell out where exactly they are.

    Thanks! :)

There was (is?) one in bar 8 (on the docks) on Tuesday nights. I haven't been in for a while but I think it still going. What instrument/style do you play?

I'm afraid I don't play any instrument! I never had the patience to persist with one. I suppose my voice is an instrument? I know a hell of a lot more jazz tunes than the average 19-year-old! :D

Bar no.8 is a great session on a Tuesday night...

If you're around at weekends, be sure to check out the Jazz session in the Meyrick hotel from 1-2.30 on a Sunday afternoon. Features some of the countries top musicians, and its a great way to spend a sunday!

Glad to hear bar 8 are getting jazz! That's good news for a city otherwise starved of Jazz! The "Jazz Addicts" use to play in Massimos on Sunday nights. That was a really nice chilled out session. Loved it! Buskers have Sunday morning sessions.
