    The Barclays Tips

Nick Watney...Picking him in the fact that he likes Donald Ross courses. He also has won twice this season. One the best guys in business from 125 yards and in. He also 5th in all round ranking. Coming here in good form having finished 12th in The PGA.The type of player that if he is in with shout normally wins

Jason Day two 2nd place finishes and 8 top 10 from 17 starts this season I think it is only a matter of time before this kid wins again. His driving has been a little worrying over past couple of months but think he got the game to give at least the e/w backer a decent run

Ryan Palmer Has done very well in all 4 majors this year and finished 5th here last season(although in different course) He was 1st in Putting stats at Atlantia and has been suggesting that his game is really starting to come together and thinks it's only a matter of time before he goes close again after coming second best in Byron in May...

Expect good rounds from Woodland, Simpson and Kelly but going to stick with 3 highlighted

U too, still trying to narrow it down for the Barclays,
In Scotland I'm backing the same man I backed last year for this,Felipe Aguilar @125/1,if he holes a few he'll give me a run

ok just one more bet backed Simpson at 3/1 to finish in top 10...he has 7/17 so on that he should be around 13/8-7/4 so think it's bit of value...

haha ah you never know what could happen, for example I bet you didn't think you would get them 4 in a row.

    Alright lads.

    Here's my lucky dip.

All my bets are on betfair, so just going for the win.

First bet this week is last weeks Favourite David Tomas @ 38 Toms played well last week finishing 17th with a closing 65. He had a good season so far finishing inside top 10 nine times finishing first once. He is also 4th in driving accuracy, 2nd in greens in regulation and 33rd in scrambling.

Second bet is in the form of Gary Woodland @ 60 He only missed 4 cuts all year. He won this year also in Transitions. He's 127th in driving accuracy but is 9th in greens in regulation. I like this player and I think he'll be a star.

Also backed George McNeill @ 190. I backed him last week just to win @ 280 :( so since that course is linked to Ross I'll have to back him again.

I mite back Harrington if I can get 200 on betfair. If he can sort out his driving then he could go close. He'll be happy with his performance last week. This course could be all about short game and we all know Harrington has/had a great short game.

think petterson and ryan palmer could represent some value in this at 90's and 100/1 respectively. petterson has been playing well and likes donald ross courses too

charles howell 111 been knockin on door too:cool:

Just personally I hate top ten bets, have you factored ties into those prices?

Very rare I do them myself personally..Yes I have and I know that it can happen quite bit you only have to look at the past few weeks to see that..

I just think the way he is playing and the fact his % should be less then 2/1 that getting point higher is a good bet...

It's all about what people think is value at end of day..I think you will agree though that if you were to back on this market on regular basis you be going down the burn-hole-pocket route.

Already on 2 of them I'm already on, so I won't be surprised with Palmer winning now :pac:

    Also have money on..

    Simpson @ 30/1, Love III @ 66/1 and a small bet on Reavie @ 100/1 as well.

snedeker 100/1 very small punt e/w, reason none except price and he seems to get a lot of air time on coverage.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,683 ✭✭✭heavyballs

A few likely one's for me,john rollins @150/1 and Brian gay 125/1,both e/w 6 places...........I'll back donald in running possibly ,just couldn't hand the cash over at 12/1

    marcel siem 100/1

He hasnt been playing great or anything but this course is ideal for him. The price is too big for a man of his ability in what is a weak field but who knows how the ****es gonna go down. :)

two bets with the bookies, which is strange for me but bf prices on the place side a bit skinny on both.25 ew Dyson @18 to1 and 20 ew Kuchar 30 to 1 I have become a real fan of Dyson, who i think has become one of the best in europe.I could do with a good win for i done a lot of dosh yesterday on horse that i could not see out of the first 3.He finished 3rd beaten half a length for 2nd but i still lost as a no hoper was withdrawn and i lost a maximum bet due to the fact that only 7 ran and hence 2 places,im still in shock

Dead right you are but as you are aware one wont get evens a place about a 4 to 1 chance on betfair and im afraid i did not factor in the possibility of one being withdrawn, thats life.
