    Hi everyone,

    Sorry this might be a long on trying to explain it all.
    So im a montessori teacher. I get paid all holidays from my employer except the summer.
    I went into the dole office the day I got my P45 and applied. They said i would get €122 a week from my stamps or I could apply for JS. They thought JS would be best as I would get more. Just takes longer to process. So I did got interviewed ect. 7 weeks later got the later saying I got JS and would get the full €188. It says on the later ill be paid from the 5th july to the 23rd of aug.
    In I go today to the post office and I get 500. When I should of got over €1,000. So I was in shock as I owe bills ect thinking I would get that amount.
    Went into their offices and they said cause my employer paid my Easter/Christmas holidays that im only getting the 500 back dated. Then next week €188 from then on.
    I just dont understand they never said anything about my employer paying my christmas holidays ect that it would effect any of there payments. Before this I worked out what I could spend during the weeks I was waiting to here from them (€122 being the least amount I thought I would get). Now I have no money as ill owe nearly all I got today.
    Has this happened to anyone else?? Iv never heard about it before. Im just really upset and dont know what to do now.

    Thanks for that.
    So it would of been better for me just to use my stamps and get the €122 each week??
    Just upset cause it was never explained to me. I know I should of looked it up mayself but just never heard of it happening before.

    It would have been deducted whether it was Benefit or Allowance. You are better off on the Allowance at 188 per week.
