hey, im thinking about buying my first laptop.

Id just like to know is it possible to charge a laptop battery off the cars cigarette lighter, as with the likes of phones/ipods.

i generally dont have access to mains when at work and would like to know i dont have to watch battery time.

Do you know of any such products?

You don't need an inverter that is a waste of energy it converts 12v DC into 200v AC your laptop charger then converts that 200v AC back into DC.

You can get a universal charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket in your car.

I bought one several years ago it came with eight different connectors and could be set to eleven different voltages.

I don't have the make to hand as I use it on my boat not in the car.
