    Hi all
I'm going to connect saorview shortly to my new TV ,my question is i have a cheap yellow tip contract aerial without a balun which I'm going to mount on the gable pointing horz to mount leinster,is this type of aerial good enough or would i be better off with a different type aerial if so what kind/make?.Many thanks.

If the Saorview coverage checker recommends Mt Leinster as your best transmitter the yellow tip Group B aerial should do the job.

My brother is using a cheap contract aerial to receive Mullaghanish, over 90Km away.

What part of the country roughly are you in? Does http://coverage.rtenl.ie/index.php suggest Mt. Leinster is best for your house?

Oh it'll work alright. With LOS to Mount Leinster internal aerials would probably work! A contract aerial outside will work perfectly once it's properly waterproofed and fixed to the gable.
