Is this a USB/eSata combo port ?

According to specs and various marketing blurb on my laptop (lenovo G570), the laptop has a combo USB/eSata port. Last night I went to connect an eSata disk but could not plug any eSata cable in here, I tried both internal and external eSata terminated cables.

Is this a combo port? I thought eSata would need recesses at each side or an L shaped recess for the internal version. Do I need another special eSata cable for this?

Yeah I was staring at that yesterday scratching my head didn't reply as I was speechless :), like yourself certainly not the shape I would have expected of a combo port

    Anything in the manual?

The manual mentions USB only, but other marketing blurb, videos, brochures, specs etc mention a combo. I have now posted the query on a Lenovo forum.
