You have to hand it to the Russians - when it comes to buying your vote, they pull out all the stops - even the clowns! :pac:

From todays 'The Times' (England): http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/779/20110823123351.jpg
    (http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/news/world/europe/article3142159.ece)
Mrs Matviyenko, the most powerful woman in Russia, won almost 95 per cent of the vote in Sunday’s by-elections in two municipal districts of St Petersburg after the authorities pulled out all the stops to secure a margin of victory reminiscent of Communist Party polls in the Soviet Union.

Clowns gave ice cream to voters while acrobats performed tricks outside polling stations. Inside, voters were offered medical examinations as well as free checkups for their dogs and cats. Tickets to the circus and a pop concert were also handed out.

So what would it take here to buy a vote! :pac:

A good education and health system, more funding towards special needs, and a viable plan to get people working again.

.......That is, unless you have chocolate cake?

Sorry, your hypothetical "health system" has deemed chocolate cake illegal!

    Thanks a lot!

If they wanted to buy my vote, they'd have to make give me a "dig out".

    Sure lead by example...

If someone reduces the price of petrol and motor tax they get my vote for sure no matter what the rest of their policies are.
