Hi, I was just trying to check what my time table will be like on the Maynooth website.

I went into my course (Finance and Economics MH401) and I just selected all Modules. Now, the problem is that it is not just showing stuff from Finance and Economics but for English and Spanish and History etc. Why is this, am I doing something wrong?

    https://www.nuim.ie/timetable/?

    Thanks

You didn't do anything wrong, it just seems to be giving all the possible modules you "could" take. I think you can take Maths or some other arts subject. So as far as I can tell, it's giving all these possible arts ones as well as the ones you have to take. If you double check the course outline it should tell you which ones you need to take so you can just look at them.

In your first year of finance and economics (1st semester) you will definetely have Maths (MT103A), Micro (EC101), Macroeconomics (EC102), statistics (MT121A) and I think Accounting (AC101).

I started out in that course. You take a 3rd Arts subject, you can't choose from all the Arts subjects but you have a choice of some anyway. You do economics finance and your 3rd subject in 1st year. In 2nd year you keep on the 3rd subject as a minor but if you picked maths for first year you can drop the 3rd subject, maths, and do just Finance & Economics. I *think* you have to do maths if to do just economics and finance from 2nd year on but I'm not 100%. They'll tell you all about it anyway when you go up!

Does anyone know the module codes for English, Psychology and Sociology?

I'm having trouble with this too as I only know the course code MH101.

    Thanks in advance.

The modules start with the Department code and are followed by the year of study (1, 2 or 3) and then the individual module number. So you will need to select any/all modules with the following codes
    English: EN1--
    Psychology: PS1--
    Sociology: SO1--
