Imagine how many times you've read their comments, agreed or disagreed with whatever they have to say and had no idea they are people you know?

I read a PI once then a few days later a friend told me the same story. As they started I thought "this sounds familiar" but I never let on I'd already seen it on boards.

Spotted a boardsie in the queue behind us in the cinema today, knew him from his photos posted here.
And did find out one of the girls I know is also a boardsie when we started having a lot of mutual friends on Facebook! We don't really post in the same forums much though.

I will say that I learnt recently that my Ma is also on Boards, I know her username and all. Thanks be to **** she doesn't know mine!

I was at a night club during freshers week a couple of years ago. Got talking to a girl from ballymeena. At the time, there was a girl posting on the TCD forum from ballymeena as well. I asked her if she was "username" and I was expecting her to not have a clue what I was on about but it turned out it was indeed herself. Found that quite strange. Im sure it happens all the time though.
