Lads if ya don't want a seperate discussion about this, by all means, move it to the MW3 or which ever delete it, lock it, mod it, twist it, smack it, bop it.

Anyways, since MW3 is coming back, without stopping power yet again. Not so much a bad thing, but since playing Black Ops an going back to MW2 for a little while, MW2 is now full of people using the Cold Blooded perk, so with the fact that they are leaving out stopping power, is that going to lead to a "Free" red perk, (I don't know which way the perks are going to be assigned, I'm just guessing/wondering) is it going to lead to people choosing Cold blooded since they will no longer need stopping power if the red perk slot stays the same?

It really depends in what tier they put the perks in. Ghost or Cold blooded will be in the game in some shape or form. If there isn't strong enough perks in the same tier as CB then people will choose that again like in B:Ops

We more or less know what the perk teirs are already, Cold blooded will be split into 2 perks, one that makes you immune to UAV's / CUAV's / Sentryguns ? and one that makes you invisible to air support.... seems pretty ****ing balanced to me. iirc the UAV one will be in the same tier as SOH / Blast shield (Which is basically flak jacket + Tac Mask) / Warlord and something else... i really don't see it being anywhere near as popular as it is in BLOPS with those perks to contend with.
We'll know for sure next week.

And yeah.. this has been discussed a few times in the MW3 thread, no need for another one :P

I've been playing a good bit of MW2 recently. I think if you're a pretty decent player (which I'm not) you can get away without using stopping power. Average/poor players are just putting themselves at a major disadvantage not using it.

    Danger Close - blah
Cold Blooded - only really useful against air support and I change to my CB class after getting killed by something to shoot it down anyway
Lightweight - if you rush around with an smg it's ok and....ehem... MLC
Hardline - not as useful as stopping power although getting Harriers after 6 kills can have it's benefits

And Hardcore, S&D, staying off UAVs, not showing up on thermals.

    Sorry, all true but personally
    - don't play hardcore
    - if there's a lot of UAVs going up I'll change to the CB class but don't find this happens much in the game modes I play
    - can't remember being shot by a thermal scope in about six months:)

    anyway SP is better:D

Hardcore is great if you dont want to use stopping power, one shot kills everywhere, use lightweight and you can beast

I've played it before but the lack of the HUD disorients me - I'd never make it as a real life soldier. All I remember is a lot of camping and dying a lot. I agree SP is redundant in HC modes.

I got really into it a while back, its much more skill based than regular tdm, barely and tubing as well and you rarely see anything higher than a harrier, most people run uavs and cold blooded

How is it more skill based ? :P Camping and feetshooting = skills i guess ? :P

It's not often I'd agree with Magill but this.

Plenty of explosives in HC and the camping is unreal.

hardcore tdm and search are way too slow paced i find. However hchq was a lot of fun and very fast paced when i played it especially on the smaller maps. Also the best game mode to get fmj kills.expect countless tubes though.

IMO, hardcore would be good if it had normal health + normal radar with UAV's banned + gunshots don't make you appear on radar as well as none regen health.

I've noticed that Cold blooded thing too... everyone is using it, and scrambler... WTF
