suzuki katana ay 50 cutting out

Why does my Suzuki Katana scooter cut out? It is 2 stroke, it will start ok, run for less than 1 minute then cut out. When i try to restart the engine will turn but wont start. Leave it for a half hour then it will start.

I had problems similar before it ended up being dirt in the carburettor ( I think)

Dirt or maybe a kink in the petrol hose
