I read on a sign today doing my repeat that the results are out the 5th.
how are we meant to know if we're gonna pass when we start the 5th? not much point moving up there for the monday morning to find out that i failed it and cant continue on. Is there any way to find out sooner?

I was having the same dilemma as you this afternoon after my exam until I realised that the sign said that results would be available online on the 5th. Surely we'll get letters in the post before then or something? Otherwise it makes no sense as I have to pay fees by Friday the 2nd. Why would I pay if I didn't know if I had passed? There must be a letter... I hope! Good luck with your results! :)

The repeats results are a joke. I failed a repeat in 2008, having went to the first few weeks of lectures. I just stopped going when I found out, there was no way to find out sooner.

IF you do fail what then? Are you given a choice to repeat the module, the year, or what? Do they come to you about or do you go to them?

exact same question here as eire dearg, what does happen? if its just one module you fail, can you carry it on and progress to fourth year and resit it next spring? if not can you just resit the exam next spring or do you have attend and go to the tutorials for the 10%?

You have to do a link-in if you fail a repeat you cannot progress to fourth year with an F or a deficient QCA

Yeah, I had to wait and re-sit that exam the following May. It's a bit of a pain, but I had no one to blame but myself. If you have an FYP to do, that's the way to spend the time!

Try e-mail your lecturer and see would they give it to you earlier.

I've a repeat at 2 today and am flying out for Erasmus next Wednesday. I'll be there for 6 days not knowing if I can stay of not :(
